Embracing technology

I found my business passion in 1992 when I entered the mortgage business. I was drawn to helping people finance one of the largest investments of their life. Technology was still very new, loan applications were still taken by hand and good faith estimates were done by an abacas. I discovered a need, people wanted to see different options instead of just one loan program. I embraced new technology and began using customized spreadsheets to deliver different options to my customers.

Now the industry has fully embraced technology, the loan process has become easier and the consumer has more options to choose from. I believe in showing the consumer all of their options and letting them choose which loan program is best for their family. Without knowing all of the facts, you can't make the best decision.


Communication

The key to conducting business is "To do what you say you are going to do, when you say your going to do it." However you have to keep everyone informed to satisfy their comfort level. There is nothing worse than always having to call someone because you haven't been kept up to date.

I began my career in the mortgage industry in 1992 as a loan officer out of my fondness for financing. My approach was and is to offer financing options that work best for a persons particular situation. I found that most loan officers didn't take the time to learn all of the loan programs that were available. As a result they were not prepared to offer the best financing options.
